The duration of time we work with a client varies depending upon the desired outcome and where they are in their stage of development. Our ultimate goal is to: get organizations to a point where they are able to deliver on their respective mission without ongoing support from consultants; to enable organizations to effectively work with each other and with other sectors.
Our preference is to be able to work through an Operational Audit with a new client to find out what’s working and what needs help which allows us to develop a series of recommended actions. They can choose to implement the actions on their own or work with us to do so. The same is true with Planning & Development – we can development the plans and hand them over for implementation or support the implementation through our Capacity Extension services. We recommend clients select the Coaching/Mentoring component of our Capacity Building service because this allows us to provide ongoing support through phone & face-to-face follow-up for an agreed upon period of time.
In working with the corporate sector, we are usually engaged by companies who are already committed to investing in their communities through donations/sponsorship, are looking to leverage activities and are interested in the concept of CSR. We can similarly walk them through an audit process that assesses the investments they are currently making and makes recommendations for next steps. We also work with businesses on identifying, shaping and communicating their CSR stories, moving them away from dry and onerous reporting models to compelling and engaging narratives that are embraced by customers and staff alike.
